Invisible Coffee Table!

Anyway, hi!
Geez, I can easily count how many more there are of these on one hand. I'm
a bit excited, and a bit sad. Finishing strong through! This week marks 2
weeks in my last area, and things have been going great so far!!

On Sunday, we had a baptism for a woman named Janie. She is soo dope! Her
husband, Jenaro, got baptized about 8 months ago, but she never felt ready.
I guess that changed! We set a date with her the second time we talked to
her, and she followed through! The best part of all though is that she was
baptized by her husband 🥺🥺🥺. They were so happy! The gospel is so cool.

In terms of other stuff, well lots of teaching and preparing. Our next up
and coming is a girl named Cindy. Her uncle is a recent convert. She told
us she wants to change her life around. She's dope!
We also met this guy named Santiago who lives in the apartment complex
where we live. We met him Saturday night, and he came to church Sunday! He
loved it, we'll have a lesson with him tomorrow.

It's ant season here. The junebugs are gone, and the cicadas haven't quite
arrived yet. You can tell how far you are into the year based on how many
bugs there are, and what kinds. Also by how hot it is! It's finally getting
hot again!

We've also been playing a lot of soccer. Just like old times.
The ward is kinda funny, its the ward I started my mission in, except they
combined it to English and Spanish. It's probably 95% Spanish and 5%
English, haha. They run an AI translator on the screen during Sacrement
meeting. It works pretty decent, its funny to read it in both languages and
see the word choices it uses. The ward is so neat. Some people rememebred
me from 2 years ago, haha! We also got to eat at Mari Martinez's house,
which was one of the firsf member meals I had on my mission. Shoutout that
fam fr. She can cook.

My comp is a blast. He loves to be goofy, and works like a dog. He's
helping keep me locked in. Fun district, too.
Anyway, this week is my last Zone Conference. Rip-a-roonie. Lot of "lasts"
coming up here pretty quick.

How do we hallow the Sabbath day? In my much younger years, I studied the
work of others who had compiled lists of things to do and things not to do
on the Sabbath. It wasn’t until later that I learned from the scriptures
that my conduct and my attitude on the Sabbath constituted a sign between
me and my Heavenly Father. With that understanding, I no longer needed
lists of dos and don’ts. When I had to make a decision whether or not an
activity was appropriate for the Sabbath, I simply asked myself, “What sign
do I want to give to God?” That question made my choices about the Sabbath
day crystal clear.
