LETTER 021 โ TUESDAY, 3 JUNE 2025 ยท week 49
Horsie
Good morning brothers and sisters
It is I, Elder Miller.
I bring you weekly email.
Que disfruten.
Well sorry for not sending one last week but I'll just give you a light
recap: I got transferred! No longer in Jacinto City, but in New Caney. New
Caney is called New Caney because there is an older Caney somewhere else in
Texas. It's a bit Northeast of Houston, and is kinda just a jungle haha.
Lots n lots of trees and trailers and dogs and horses and stuff. Its been a
blast! Unfortunately I'm not with Elder Condie anymore but I do get to
finish my training because I'm running it back with my trainer, Elder
Ostler!!! So awesome. Today is temple pday so we got to do that. Last week
we basically just played board games for pday. Very fun. Today we also went
to the DI and to TopGolf. So true.
Umm in other news, spiritual thought!
Don't you just love the scriptures?
This is in Alma 22
18 O God, Aaron hath told me that there is a God; and if there is a God,
and if thou art God, wilt thou make thyself known unto me, and I will give
away all my sins to know thee, and that I may be raised from the dead, and
be saved at the last day. And now when the king had said these words, he
was struck as if he were dead.
This is the prayer that the King of the Lamanites, the father of Lamoni. I
really love in his prayer when he says, "I will give away all my sins to
know thee"
Anyway I was thinking about this verse, because of a contact I had last
week. It was with a few drunk guys, and basically we asked them what they
would be willing to do to follow God. It kinda flew over their heads, but
it's definitely an interesting thing to think about. What sins are you the
most fond of? Would you give them away to know God? Another thing I find
interesting about this chapter is the fact that the King originally was
willing to give away his whole kingdom to know. That's not what God needs.
Everything is already his haha. The only thing we can really "give" to God
is our actions, our sins. Hagalo pues.
Umm as I get to know more people in this area I can give more detailed info
about them but yeah this is the most recent converts I've ever had in an
area, eight. One is in his home country and another is moving but its still
crazy. I like this area a lot.
Ok umm yeah
