Here We Are

Hi!!! Another day, another dolla. Another week, another email! Here it goes:
D&C 58:
2 For verily I say unto you, blessed is he that keepeth my commandments,
whether in life or in death; and he that is faithful in tribulation, the
reward of the same is greater in the kingdom of heaven.
3 Ye cannot behold with your natural eyes, for the present time, the design
of your God concerning those things which shall come hereafter, and the
glory which shall follow after much tribulation.
4 For after much tribulation come the blessings. Wherefore the day cometh
that ye shall be crowned with much glory; the hour is not yet, but is nigh
at hand.
5 Remember this, which I tell you before, that you may lay it to heart, and
receive that which is to follow.
Let me summarize briefly: The best is yet to come! God knows exactly what
is to come, and He will bless you. The only way to get to it is to endure
to the end. You doing so good! Keep pushing. 1 step > 0 steps. (Isn't it
weird that we say steps instead of step for 0? Never mind.) Just dp what
you cam today, let God help you with the rest. Pray. Hope. Believe in His
promises. You'l get there. I promise you because He promises you.

Anyway, good past two weeks! The highlights were being able to go to the
temple not once but two times! We went once to do endowments, and the
second time we took Janie, the woman that got baptized 2 weeks ago, to do
baptisms!! She was baptized for her mom, and her husband for her son and
father.
She told us she had a dream the night before about her Son. All of this was
still very new to her, so she has been operating on faith. It's actually
amazing to see. She doesn't quite understand why we did baptisms for the
dead. Oh sure, ws taught her. But she hadn't gotten a testimony of it yet.
Now she has one! She bore it on church on Sunday during the baltismal
service of a woman named Danila. Peak.
I thought the Sunday 2nd hour was pretty peak. I just wanna share the John
Adams quote again because I though it was neat:
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is
wholly inadequate to the government of any other." Be virtuous and the
whole system works!

In terms of other stuff, we went golfing last week, to the arcade this
week, and missionary work sandwiched in between. Yesterday was June 1st,
and Houston let us know! We played soccer, and the car thermometer said
104° by the time we were done playing. Pheeeeeew its hot out there.

We've been teaching this cool guy named Eduardo who we gave a church tour
to on Saturday. He came to church on Sunday! He's been going to the church
over in another area, because he moved about 2 weeks ago. Hopefully we can
help him get baptized!
Cindy was supposed to get baptized this week, but she didn't come to church
last week. We moved her date to this Sunday. Pray she can make her first
covenant with God! Thanks!!!
