I Got the Walk

I know how missionaries outside the US feel now! (Just a little bit)
Car sharing is so silly! It's been very fun though.
So you know how I said I was goinf to write this day by day?
Turns out its already Monday and I forgot to so that. Sorry. A quick
breakdown:
On Wednesday, we had transfers! They forgot we exist so we had to wait for
our car. I'm now with Elder Gonzalez, Elder Schiffman, and Elder Card in a
quad. We got moved into an apartment where the Sisters were living before.
It'd kind of cosy, we have a Christmas tree in here!
Also I just want to congratulate all of the hermanas that came out with me,
you made it home!!! I've now been in my mission longer than any sister here
haha. Also shoutout my boy Elliott for making it home! Love you bro!!!
The rest of the week has been a lot of finding. When you have a car, you
generally go to lots of different spots in your area during the day, but
without a car you get to spend a lot of time in one specific area. We just
asked to get dropped off in one spot, and we can work in apartment complex
for the entire night. It's so awesome! We really have to talk to everyone,
and we get very familiar with certain areas. We've been focusing pretty
hard on one specific apartment complex and one specific trailer park. We
have several friends that are pretty cool and could start progressing, but
we had to start from scratch because we opened a new area. On friday, we
had a Christmas party and got to meet some of the members of the ward. We
became good friends with a family from Peru, and they're pretty awesome!
The next day, we were able to go to a baptism for a man named rafael. We
were able to bring our friend Frank to it, and he brought his daughter and
they really enjoyed watching the baptism. They both expressed a desire to
be baptized! We are going to help them progress towards their new goal.
This is the second time in my mission that my district will have
non-spanish speaking missionaries in it, so that'll be fun to be able to
meet new people. This district is also gigantic haha! There are six
companionships.
There's also all sorts of things to do in pasadena. There's a bowling alley
like 2 minutes away from our house. It's sick.
In this area, we're still able to go to the Houston food bank to do service
so I'm pretty excited to keep doing that.
Okay, spiritual thought time
This is from Mosiah 5
2 And they all cried with one voice, saying: Yea, we believe all the words
which thou hast spoken unto us; and also, we know of their surety and
truth, because of the Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, which has wrought a
mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to
do evil, but to do good continually.
3 And we, ourselves, also, through the infinite goodness of God, and the
manifestations of his Spirit, have great views of that which is to come;
and were it expedient, we could prophesy of all things.

I like verse 3 a lot. What powerful faith! O definetly dont feel like I
"have no more disposition to do evil" or to "prophesy of all things". But I
know that it is possible. Why? Because the Book of Mormon is true. I have
confidence in God's promises to us. I know that one day, we will be able to
live like Him, love like Him, and serve like Him. I love being a
missionary, and I love trying to be better every day. Even when I fail
miserably at it.
