LETTER 033 — TUESDAY, 18 NOVEMBER 2025
Week 74 (unless I've lost count)
Hey y'all!!
I hope you've all been good. I've been good! Just workin and playin and
eatin and prayi
Anyway, kinda crazy week! We had transfers so now I'm with Elder
Fonnesbeck! He's dope. He comes from the land of Pleasant Grove, and has
been out for a transfer. Very sweet guy.
We are whitewashing into Plum Grove, which is an area I had been in
previously. I was here with Elder Vetterli and Elder Halvorsen about 2ish
months ago. It's a really fun area! It's full of dogs, trailers, and all
sorts of other stuff. I really feel like Plum Grove is like no other
neighborhood in all of the United States. Seriously. Look up "Colony Ridge
Houston Lawsuit" lol.
The toughest thing thats been happening lately is daylight savings. Jeepers
creepers, it's scary to knock doors in pitch black. Literally the entire
night from 6:00PM-9:00PM is dark lol. People don't like answering. I don't
really blame em, I wouldn't either haha!
But we have a few people progressing right now, one named Reyna and the
other named Abigail. Reyna is a sweet old lady who is good friends with a
member of the ward. She unfortunately can't read, but she makes up for it
in how strong she feels the Spirit. Even just talking about God makes her
feel the Spirit! It was an awesome first lesson to explain to her that the
reason she felt like that was because God was actually with her. It was
also awesome to explain how the Gift of the Holy Ghost lets her feel that
all the time! She hasn't come to church yet, but hopefully next week!
Please pray for her!!
Abigail is the older sister of one of our recent converts, Marvin. She's
been pretty busy with a newborn so that prevented her from participating
before. Now, she wants to learn more! She came to church the week before we
got here. We taught her about baptism and she told us that it would be
something she would be interested in. So dope!
The area got a little bit cleared out before we got here, so we haven't had
a ton of people progressing, so hopefully that will change in the coming
weeks. It'll be a shorter transfer so hopefully we can see some sucess.
It's been neat seeing some familiar faces in the ward, the Bishop has a
mustache now haha! But yeah, it's been fun.
Here's a small spiritual thought:
Matthew 6
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field,
how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not
arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is,
and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O
ye of little faith?
So this confused me for a while, because I was like, "toil and spin? What
the heck does that mean?" But it means to make clothes. Ohhhhh. He clothes
the lilies of the field. He feeds the birds in the sky. And He will feed
those who trust Him. And guide them with his eye.
More than being about clothes, this is about faith. Do you trust God enough
to let him array you like Solomon in all his glory? Theyl World can't make
you a king. God already did. Just trust him!
O ye of little faith lol.
Anyway that's all for this week.
Here's some photos!!
