Tossed About

Howdy friends & family,
It's been a ROUGH week for me here at the MTC haha. Pday has been pretty
good though, we went to the Mount Timpanogos Temple and played some
friendly soccer. I haven't had a whole lotta time to sit down and write an
email though, so I apologize for its brevity.
I think the scripture of the week is Helaman 5:12

And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our
Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your
foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his
shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall
beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf
of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built,
which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot
fall.

Shafts in the whirlwind, indeed! I haven't felt so spiritually attacked in
a while. My testimony was shaken to its very roots. I have never felt less
close to Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father than in the past weeks. I
realized my testimony was built like a card tower. If one piece was
removed, the entire structure collapses. I'm not really sure what triggered
it, but my card tower testimony fell apart. I needed to restart from
scratch, and this time I needed not a card tower, but a temple. A temple
built unto the lord out of stone and mortar. I asked myself, "What do you
belive, actually?" I arrived at one point. The thing I should have built my
testimony on the first time around. The thing that should have already been
at the base of it. Our rock. The only firm foundation. Jesus Christ. I
realized I knew, divine or not, Jesus loved me. From there, I was able to
begin construction on my testimony temple. I'm by no means done, but the
temple of my testimony is growing. Block by block, precept by precept, my
testimony will grow. I know that I can recive personal revelation. I know
that I can feel the power of the Holy Ghost. I know that we can recive
guidance when we pray. I may not know other things, but I have faith. A
plan. A blueprint for my testimony temple. I'm excited for the journey, and
I know that by the end of this path my testimony temple will stand proud
and tall, and it will be a place the Lord would dwell in. You could say I
have faith in my testimony.
Unfortunately our internet cuts out at 10:30 and it is currently 10:25. Not
much else happened this week, besides me trying to learn Spanish.
If you wanna talk to me feel free to email me, I'd love to hear from you!
Also I'm sorry to all those who emailed me this week if I didn't respond to
you, I read all of them and I'll try to make more time next week to
actually respond to them.
Photo time!!!
